The Heirloom Bath Project Reveal
A timeless primary bath remodel layered in marble, brushed nickel, an oversized shower, and thoughtfully added storage. Designed to feel just as fresh a decade from now as it does today.

THE OVERVIEW:
Our clients came to us looking to remodel their outdated primary bathroom. With a few thoughtful layout changes, we were able to transform the space into one that feels luxurious, serene, and designed to stand the test of time.
THE CHALLENGE:
Space was tight, and a window positioned over the original — and rarely used — soaking tub added another layer of complexity to the layout. On top of that, our clients had two must-haves: an oversized shower and functional storage that could actually keep up with their daily routine. Balancing all of these constraints while still creating a space that felt open and luxurious was the puzzle we set out to solve.
BEFORE AND AFTER:
THE DESIGN APPROACH:
We knew we wanted to bring in traditional elements such as honed marble tile and brushed nickel finishes, but in a way that felt fresh and timeless rather than expected. To balance the richness of those materials, we layered in a serene blue that grounds the space and keeps it feeling calm rather than heavy.
To solve the layout challenges, we removed the unused, oversized soaking tub and replaced it with a floor-to-ceiling custom linen cabinet, complete with a laundry hamper pullout, for much-needed everyday storage. We then enlarged the shower to incorporate the window, bringing in natural light while doubling as a ledge for products. An oversized niche and a dedicated foot niche round out the shower, making it as functional as it is beautiful.
The toilet and vanity stayed in their original locations, but we customized the vanity with a full-depth bottom drawer to maximize storage without sacrificing style. Every decision was made in service of one goal: a bathroom that feels luxurious, serene, and completely tailored to how our clients actually live.
